Art came early for me as I drew a recognizable picture of Fred Flintstone before the age of 5. Our mother was a very talented painter and always encouraged my younger sisters and me.
I had to change up my plans on becoming an art teacher in my Sophomore year in college. The art teachers in the 70’s and 80’s were losing their jobs due to school budget cuts. I then changed my major to Interior Design and had a successful career for over 30 years and I could still play with color, which I love.
Then came….retirement!! I am back to my first love of painting and enjoying every minute of it!
There is, indeed, NO shortage of inspiration on this land we live in!
