Niyuti Jiwani

Niyati Jiwani is a contemporary landscape painter based in Atlanta, Georgia, whose work explores the emotional and atmospheric qualities of nature through semi-abstract landscapes. Working primarily in acrylics and oils, she creates paintings that balance expressive mark-making, layered textures, and harmonious color palettes to evoke a sense of calm, reflection, and connection.

Born in Mumbai, India, Niyati developed an early love for both art and literature. She holds double bachelor's degrees and a master's degree in Literature and spent many years as an educator, teaching literature and art while continuing to nurture her creative practice. Throughout this time, she explored various artistic mediums and techniques, gradually refining a visual language rooted in personal experience and a deep appreciation for the natural world.

After moving to the United States, Niyati dedicated herself more to painting, pursuing further artistic study and experimentation. Inspired by landscapes, changing light, flowing water, and distant horizons, she creates works that are not representations of specific places but emotional interpretations of nature. Her paintings invite viewers into spaces that feel both familiar and imagined, where memory, atmosphere, and emotion intersect.

Through layers of color and texture, Niyati seeks to create moments of stillness in an increasingly fast-paced world. Her work reflects a belief in the restorative power of nature and its ability to inspire contemplation and renewal.

Niyati has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, including participation in Art Expo New York and numerous juried exhibitions and gallery shows. Her work is held in private collections internationally and across the United States.
