Sheep Farm Felt
Megan Benson, owner of Sheep Farm Felt and Queen of Felt Ball Land, began making felt ball garlands in 2014 as a means to use and share the wool from her parent’s sheep farm in New Jersey. Growing up on the farm, Megan acquired a deep knowledge and respect for the process of transforming sheep’s wool into handmade felt products; a unique quality that sets her apart from other makers in this space. However, after only a few months in business, the demand for Sheep Farm Felt’s offerings quickly outgrew the family farm’s supply. Today, all of Sheep Farm Felt’s wool is ethically sourced from a sheep farm in New Zealand, felted by certified fair-trade female artisans in Nepal, and assembled and packaged with love in their Egg Harbor, New Jersey studio.
