I decided during the pandemic to come full circle and start painting once again.
Fluid art is abstract movement across a clean canvas. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say and you can always see something in the movement of abstract art. As I have lived by the ocean and now the Gulf of Mexico, the water holds great mystery and the ever loving sea turtles, dolphins, the mystery of mermaids and the oceans floor. It's a calming feeling to paint these sea creatures on top of the fluid motion of water or backdrop and in doing so I decided to embed into the turtles and most water scenes sand from my beaches for a more realistic feel for the animal and artwork itself. Most of the work will either have a lacquer sheen to offer a frame like feel or a resin coat and with some of the smaller pieces you will be able to 'feel' the sand within the sea turtles themselves. I hope that it reminds you of a 'once upon a time' feel--or perhaps it brings you closer to that 'trip!' as you enjoy it in your space.
