This wood has a very distinctive, wavey grain pattern with knots located around the sides and bottom of the piece. The color goes from tan to creamy to dark brown. It is finished with wipe on varnish which I then buff and wax. You can use it for only dry items and can be refreshed using a quality furniture polish.
