This is an end grain turned piece of Ambrosia Maple with tenacles reaching up to invite you to see the beauty that lays before you. This pattern is the result of a beetle that get into the tree and the interaction of the sap of the tree and the beetle produces this brown design. The finish is wipe on varnish, buffed and waxed, Dry items only in the bowl. Refresh with a quality furniture polish.
