This is Ambrosia Maple with tenacles reaching towards the center inviting you to come and add something inside this bowl. Whatever you add it must be dry. The outside has a curve which allows the bowl to rest gently in your hands as you hold it and a collar around the edge giving you the sense of durability. It is finished with wipe on varnish, buffed, and waxed. It can be refreshed with a quality furniture polish.
